Fans of the show will remember the fabulous wig heads who lived near the makeup counter. They couldn't help sticking their long noses into whatever was going on.
I’m selling them as a pair since they really shouldn’t be separated.
Regrettably we had to cut these characters after season one. We had a limited budget for puppeteers and we were introducing a new puppet character, sound engineer Audio Murphy. I decided to replace the wig heads with a robotic chicken that was programmed to lay an egg when an off-screen stagehand presses a button. It didn’t have nearly as much personality, but every dollar counts when you’re on a tight budget. And a robot chickens that lays eggs is pretty funny.
These lovely ladies are made of plaster and are surprisingly heavy. Their mouths move up and down with a wire. They are mounted on a wooden pole so you’ll either need to build a little stand for them or drill holes in a tabletop to keep them upright.
In the season one episode, Moe hides with the wig heads. This bit always cracked me up.
